Liphook funfair
- C (29th Jul 2023 - 18:07:05)

Wow! Is that the funfair I can hear from Haslemere Road? Must be loud for those who live around the Millennium Green. (Cue all the angry comments about being a killjoy….!) :-)

We live very close and it’s definitely louder than in previous years. Not being a killjoy, but there’s no way anyone around here will be sleeping until it finishes! Luckily they’re usually pretty good at stopping at 10 on the dot.

Damn, it’s nearly 11 and I can still hear it from the other side of the village.

Is that the noise I can hear from the other end of the village?!?
This at 23:55 but doubtful admin will be still awake unless living near the green

I remember someone that bought a house around the green think they were American tried to get the carnival stopped because they said their children couldn’t get to sleep, they were told your children should be out enjoying the carnival. Moral if you buy near a village green then you have to expect functions taking place periodically and late into the evening especially at weekends.

I can definitely say it was not noise from the funfair, it stopped on the dot of 10pm, I live very near, it is only twice a year it is on the green, exactly what village greens are for, why purchase properties in the middle of the community if you are adverse to noise, at the end of the day it is their livelihood, they are earning an honest income, and paying their taxes.
Let your hair down, have fun, life’s for living, start supporting 😊

No worse than B awful cars tearing about liphook making an enormous noise. And screaming kids late at night..

It has been a windy weekend, with the wind blowing from the West. Hence noise has travelled further than a normal summer.

we live right round the corner of the second green (Canada Way) and we never heard a thing.

I think the late night noise was actual a house party along the Haslemere Road which was extremely loud until about 12.30
