Vicar in the Square!
- St Mary's Church & Liphook Church Centre (14th Jun 2023 - 15:05:23)

Val, our vicar, loves meeting people and next week, between Sunday 18th and Thursday 22nd June, he'll be in the square.

This is a great opportunity to have a chat about life, the universe & everything!
It’s also a chance to receive a blessing for any issues, problems, or concerns, big or small, that we all face as part of that rich, and at times painful, journey we call life.

So do look out for him and come and say hello! It’s going to be an exciting week and at the end of it, 23rd-25th June, we have an internationally renowned speaker coming to lead a weekend dedicated to healing and wholeness at our beloved St Mary’s Church, Bramshott.

Take a look at our website (liphookchurch.co.uk) if you’re interested.

Stick him there during the school run.

If he can sort the Liphook drivers out that will be a bloody miracle!

Are we all meant to flock!

C.G., are we meant to laugh?

What an excellent answer, Mary.

Can't we keep this superstitious nonsense where it belongs in the church. If we're not careful we'll have some fella wearing a colander on his head talking about the great spaghetti monster in the sky.
Equally possible.

What would we be laughing at, isn't this a deadly serious matter? Although personally I don't believe in hell as the early Christians didn't believe in it either, it's a later invention of Christianity based upon a reversion to the Greek and other stories of eternal damnation rather than the Hebrew version of death followed by resurrection of the righteous in the same bodies(the others just stay dead).

Anyway, as to whether God is real or not, that's up to any of us to take a view, but noone has the right to lock religion away in a building, that seems to go against not just the idea of Christianity and religion but also against the often hypocritical secular doctrine of freedom of expression, we don't lock away those whose opinions and lifestyles we don't agree with, we encourage them to come out and parade, remember dear liberals?

So I welcome the Vic to come out and do his thing, let's see if Liphook can be saved or at least if the traffic can be eased, perhaps when God realises how long it takes to drive his chariot through the Square at 3.30 he may be moved to act😁

Thanks all for the interest! I do love meeting people and really happy to hear about great spaghetti monsters in the sky, superstitious nonsense and any other thoughts or opinions that all of us in this rich tapestry called Liphook may share!

More seriously I'm also really happy to listen to the problems that most of us seem to carry - and Bless anyone who would like to receive it - I often bless people in the village if they want me to and have heard some really amazing stories of some of the co-incidences that seem to follow...so God Bless all!

Can I have a long distance blessing please
And a hello to my old home village
thank you

All these previous blessings have sadly had no effect.

If he's there in the school run, after 10 minutes of dodging Liphook school traffic we might see God moving in a mysterious way!

Thank you for your friendly wave today !
