collision in the Avenue today - Clint Trigg (23rd Nov 2023 - 17:37:54)
Witness appeal: Did anyone see a white Renault Age Concern van hit my daughter's Audi car this afternoon at 15:25 in the Avenue causing major front end damage.
We have side on camera footage of the incident and good images of the driver but the police are asking for human witnesses too, as the driver (although making some effort to ring our doorbell) eventually left the scene without leaving details or reporting it. Ive tried getting in touch with Age concern this afternoon but have not had a response yet
Thanks in advance

Sorry you have had a problem but this has been on the cards for a long time. The avenue has become as predicted a rat run between headly road and longmoor road. At school time its ridiculous cars parked everywhere you can hardly get through at the longmoor road end what would happen if there was a house fire god forbid. It seems that more houses in the avenue have two three and four cars to a house and park them on the road making it very congested don’t no what the answer is perhaps a remote car park in the park behind lark rise.

I don't know the details of the incident yet, but I was informed that one of the volunteer drivers from the Peak Centre Trust who have use of the Age Concern Minibus had been involved in an incident in The Avenue this afternoon.
I was under the impression that The Peak Centre Trust / Day Centre were going to attempt to contact you later this afternoon/evening, but it seems that has not been the case.
If you would like to contact me on 01428 735123 tomorrow (Friday) between 9:00 & 5:00 I will be able to discuss this with you.
