Bohunt two week half term - Janet (1st Mar 2024 - 22:48:46) Overheard some Bohunt staff talking about a two week half term. Have no idea which half term they were talking about. Anyone heard anything? Have I missed something?

Re: Bohunt two week half term - lac (3rd Mar 2024 - 09:32:13) Or it could be they were discussing proposed changes to school holidays. Basically shorter summer holiday and longer half terms. I think it's only a proposal so far. It's supposed to help educationally but will also spread out peak demand for holiday services - travel, accommodation etc. Changes have occurred across Europe in recent years to smooth demand.

Re: Bohunt two week half term - Jennifer (3rd Mar 2024 - 13:30:48) Victoria, the spring half term was a couple of weeks ago, in mid February, halfway through the spring term (hence "half term). I think you're referring to the Easter holidays, which are at the end of the spring term. There might have been some discussion in some local authorities about the possibility of the autumn half term holiday being two weeks instead of one, as it's a very long term, and making the summer holidays one week shorter.
