Can you spare a few hours to help at our Day Centre for the Elderly?

Liphook Day Centre is seeking volunteers to help support our wonderful elderly community! We are looking for friendly and caring individuals to assist in various activities and to provide some well needed company to our elderly clients.
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
Morning: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Afternoon: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Volunteer Duties:
- Assisting with running activities, crafts and games
- Providing company and social interaction for our guests (we all love a good natter here!)
- Helping to serve food and refreshments

No experience necessary - just patience, kindness and a good sense of humour!

My son can help, but can he get paid a little bit as he cannot find a part time job anywhere else?

Thanks for getting in touch about your son, Julie. Unfortunately, we are a charity and do not have the funds to pay any of our volunteers (much as we would like to repay them for their kindness).
I believe Sainsbury's and Macdonald's are hiring at the moment. Best of luck to your son finding something.

I am bumping this back up.
Unfortunately, one of our regular volunteers is no longer available to help, so we are desperately looking for someone who can help at the Day Centre on Thursdays 9-12.30. It is a lovely, friendly place and most of what you'd be doing involves chatting with our clients, joining in with games and simple activities or crafts and helping with serving hot drinks. There is no physical care work involved, we are a social club, and no skills or experience required - just friendliness and patience
