Val
Why is this good news?
M&S or Waitrose would be great news,to offer a selection of shops and not just more of the same.
Don't tell me that they are more expensive, Premier isn't exactly bargain basement.
At least with M&S & Waitrose its a quality service & you get what you pay for.
Or do you have an alternative reason for your accolade, perhaps you or someone you know will work there.

Suse, I think you might be thinking of the wrong premises. M&S and Waitrose do not do convenience stores other than in petrol stations.

Estate agents would love it if there were an M and S or Waitrose in the area pushes up the house prices and the desirability of the area. M and S or Waitrose would need far bigger premises good access for their lorries to unload and a
decent space for a car park. We should be grateful that the premises have been re let.

Joe, who would benefit most from an uplift in property prices? Probably the house seller rather than the estate agent!
If the value of your house goes up by £50,000 then you the owner would gain £50,000. The average estate agent fee is 1% so the estate agency business gains an extra £500.Let’s assume the average individual commission for an estate agent negotiator is 5%, so they would make an extra £25!!! Not that impressive eh?

Hi,
I think it is good for a new convenience store to open, for people who live on station road side of Liphook.
Residents will be able to buy Fags, Scratchcards, and Ultra-processed junk food. Also high sugar treats for sale.

Much better if we had a lidls or a morrisons a bit more suitable for this area. Petersfield has all of them so really quite close.

Interesting. Whereabouts in Station Road? Could be useful for commuters if open earlier/late enough.

Neither Lidl and Aldi nor Morrisons operate small shops they all have parking attached and bigger stores than any in station road.

But Premier just seems to be full of junk food...not fresh food...
and a huge booze cabin... and we have the Wine Shop in Station Road.
A convenience food store would be great in Station Road, but somewhere where you could actually buy something to cook for dinner! And it doesn't have to be fancy!!

Just to correct a few people you do get small Waitrose shops and they are called mini Waitrose, also you get small Morrisons there was one in Petersfield next to nationwide building society, not sure if it's still there and of course a small one in Bordon was mcColls.

For those anxious to have another branded supermarket in Liphook should bare in mind that Premier Convenience Stores are wholly owned by Tesco following their acquisition of the Booker group.
They sell a mixture of convenience foods including some Tesco own brands labelled as 'Jacks' (after the founder of Tesco Jack Cohen).
