Meet up for happy Liphookians
- Caroline (23rd Apr 2025 - 10:26:43)

Hi,

I would really like my faith restored in Liphookians! There are clearly some like minded people on this forum and I wondered if anyone would like to meet for a drink and a natter one evening? All welcome but just to note my own views to help others decide if this if for them:

- I couldn’t care less what gender / race / sexuality you are as long as you are a kind person!
- I am childless but am more than happy to give money to any child needing a free breakfast or otherwise.
- I am grateful to live in a lovely village close to the South Downs, seaside and not too far from London.

The natter referred to above does not need to include these topics but again, just to help people decide if they think they are like-minded.

If anyone fancies it, drop a note here and I’ll organise something. Just be nice to meet some lovely people!

Disclaimer: I am happily married and not using this to find partner! :-D

That sounds fun! Would like to join.

Its a wonderful suggestion Caroline.

I genuinely thought you'd get some good positive responses.

Sadly, 24 hours on and it seems anonimity is precious and staying in and tapping away on a keyboard must be guarded. Weird really, when its exactly what the older generation seem to think and accuse the younger generation of doing. Maybe the 2 groups are more alligned than it would first appear.

Good luck on your quest.

What a nice thoughtful gesture. Good for you, Caroline. Not for me but I do hope it's a success none the less. There again, I could meet Scott.

I'd be happy to meet up too. :)

Don't be so negative, Scott. You and Social Bee is two people, that's enough for a nice evening having a pie, pint and natter.

The numbers are growing. Count me and my spouse in as an evening meeting new people and having a craic sounds quite refreshing.

Maybe you could make a special trip out and come say hi, D, you seem very struck on me! You can wear a nametag with your initial on it
and do all of your best John Inman, Larry Grayson, Dick Emery and Kenneth Williams gags . Oooooh Matron.....I think I just worked out what D stands for.

Again, Caroline, good luck organising something, fun times and good people make the world a better place.

It's the hat I wore at school.
