Singles night at the coffee shop in the square.
- paul (25th Apr 2025 - 17:56:36)
Hi,
I see advertised singles night next month at the coffee shop, in the Square. Age groups, and both genders up to 70 years.
Should make a great swinging Zimmer frame evening, with music, and drinks!
Or could there be younger people wanting romance?
I am only 66, quite good looking, full teeth, and most hair.
Any chance for all looking for a new partner?

Oh Paul, I’m gutted. Was after a 65 year old who’s fairly ugly with no teeth and bald. I’ll cancel my ticket

I don't think the younger people on this website actually know any older people, given the stereotypical inaccurate opinions stated. I think it's typical of every generation though, "until we came along there weren't nuffink". They probably watch a black and white film (if it isn't one of these which look like they've been coloured in by a five year old with felt tipped pens) and actually believe there was no colour in those days, everything was black and white (or monochrome as they say these days). A recent comment on another thread alluded to the idea that the older generation thinks the younger generation spend all their time on the internet. May come as a shock to the younger generation (some may even need counselling and possibly be diagnosed with a mental health issue) that the people who invented the internet and all the paraphernalia that goes with it was actually done by people now in their seventies and eighties.

Obviously the cafe had to put an upper age limit on this but I think a group of 20 somethings are not going to want to attend a singles night if their grandparents might turn up!

Hi,
In my worldly experience, some younger people act older. Also some older people try to be younger than their age.
What matters is politeness, and respect for one another.
It's what binds people together.
So a singles night in Liphook is a great event.
