Citizen’s Advice Bureau
Les Futcher recently attended the annual meeting of the area’s Citizen’s Advice Bureau, and reported that Bramshott & Liphook is the largest of the parish council financial contributors to Petersfield CAB’s funding, dedicating almost £5,000 to CAB activities in the past year. Over the past 12 months, the CAB has helped 610 clients, up from 516 the year before. However, Les Futcher reported that CAB expected a shortfall in its funding in the coming year, and would be about £3,000 in arrears, unless further funding could be found. It has been suggested that each PC in the area should allow an extra £300 – this would more than cover the projected shortfall. Otherwise, some CAB activity may have to be reduced.
Next meeting of the Planning Committee will be: Monday May 19 at The Haskell Centre. 8pm.
Next full Parish Council meeting will be at Monday June 16 at The Haskell Centre. 8pm.
