Any quilters out there
- GB (14th Jan 2013 - 16:31:02)
Hi there,
Was just wondering if anyone knew of any quilting clubs or circles in or around Liphook.
My friend & I spent a fabulous day learning how to quilt at the weekend and it would be something that we would like to do on a regular basis.
Also, if anyone has any unfinished projects or unwanted quilting books or magazine I would be very grateful.
Looking forward to hearing from any Liphook Quilters????

Hi, I'm a Liphook quilter and I've recently discovered some other quilters in the village through quilting groups I've joined in Haslemere and Farnham.
The Haslemere group meets the 4th Wed of the month at the Methodist Church near Tescos and just started about a year ago and new members welcome.
There's a real range of abilities and I'm sure you would be welcome to come along. If you're interested let me know.

Hi JennyB,
Thanks for your reply.
What time do the group meet in Haslemere and for how long and what do you do each month?

Please email me at JayBMassage@gmail.com and I'll give you some more details and put you in touch with the group's organiser.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there
I just moved to Haslemere in June and I'm a Quilter and Quilt teacher (teaching for many years in the UK and South Africa). I'm currently teaching at The Quilt Room in Dorking, The Cotton Wool Store in Petworth, Cloth Kits Quilt shop in Chichester and also in Worthing. I'm working with Bernina and Pfaff demonstrating Quilt making using patterns and block of the month programmes
Best wishes
Yasmin Duggan

Is there any chance a quilting group could be started in Liphook? I would be very interested.

Haslemere quilters are having their first show this weekend at the Haslemere Methodist Church on lion green. Sat 10-4. Sunday 12 -4. £3 entry. Details.http://www.quiltersthreads.co.uk/event/haslemere-quilters-quilt-show-haslemere-surrey
Would be happy to meet up with other liphook quilters and textile enthusiasts. I'm trying to get organised and meet the ladies who meet on Monday afternoons at the Liphook Methodist Church by the Library. They are welcoming however haven't got myself sorted yet. From memory they meet either from 12 or 1 until 3. Perhaps you could start there, Liz?

I attended the Exhibition at the Methodist Hall in Haslemere today. It was a great exhibition - and rather awe inspiring!
I met Fran Betts and she gave me her email address for future contact - but maybe I have misread her handwriting. Please confirm that the email address is franbetts01@gmail.com. I have sent her an email at that address but it seems that it has not gone through.
Many thanks - I would love to talk to Fran again.
Best wishes, Gillian Pitt
