Low Water Pressure
- Bridget (20th Jul 2013  12:00:08)

In case anybody is suffering with low water pressure, as I am on Headley Road, this would appear to be why:

Passfield was affected, but I think it must be fixed now. I reckon the burst or leaking pipes should be easy to spot at times like these - just look for green grass!

Burst water main affecting water supply in Bordon, Headley Down and Wrecclesham areas
South East Water is warning customers in the Bordon, Headley Down and Wrecclesham areas of water supply problems after a serious burst on one of its large water mains.

The burst main is currently affecting supplies to homes in the GU8, GU9, GU10, GU14, GU26, GU30, GU34 and GU35 postcodes.

These customers may be experiencing either low water pressure or have no water supplies at all.

Doug Whitfield, Head of Operations (West) at South East Water said: “We know that there has been a burst on one of our strategic water mains in the early hours of this morning (20th July). We have a team of technicians out in the area working hard to find its exact location.”

Doug continued: “With another warm day ahead of us I would urge our all of our customers to use water wisely. As demand for water rises in the next few hours, the pressure caused by this burst main on the rest of our network could mean that customers in the wider area are impacted by low water pressure.

“Our main priority now is to get tap water supplies back on as soon as possible. We would like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience this is causing and hope that they can bear with us while we deal with this incident.”
