Disabled Ramp
Disabled ramps soon to be put up at Lloyds TSB Bank in Liphook will "destroy" the appearance of The Square, a parish councillor says.
Jim Walters has objected to East Hampshire District Council's decision to approve the ramps.
Speaking at the parish council's planning committee, he said "We are talking about a conservation area, a listed building, that has changed very little and has an attractive porch. I understand that the object of this is to provide disabled access, but I think they have given little thought to other ways that could be provided."
Simon Coyte said that the council was looking for something "more tasteful".
