black bantam hen
- thea (29th Nov 2013 - 19:09:19)

I haven't seen my little black and gold flecked bantan hen since she disappeared three days ago from my garden overlooking the Portsmouth Road. (very near the traffic lights near The Square) She may have been snaffled by Mr Fox but just in case you have seen her - or have adopted her - can you let me know?
We can always negotiate if she likes your garden better than mine....

We have a small chicken that has taken a liking to our garden. She is black with a white fleck and has a white face. Does she belong to you. We live in Tunbridge crescent. I do have some photoe's of her that i could send you?..by e-mail.

I think that could be our chicken alright. Can you send a pic to me at thea@jourdanagency.com
She can fly quite well actually which may be how she got that far!

Surely you clip it's wings to prevent it flying away

Surely !!

Surely should..but surely didn't. I wonder if Linda could reply and let me know where she is- unless the chicken has vanished again. I am happy to come round and pick her out in an identity parade....

Thank goodness you haven't clipped her wings!
Being able to fly away from danger is probably the only thing keeping her alive right now!
I do hope she finds her home very soon. xxxx

Reminds me of this wonderful poem...

The Little Black Hen by A. A. Milne

Hope your hen returns home soon!
