Slimming World - Liphook - claire (29th Dec 2013 - 10:03:37) Hello All should you have a case of 'mince pie' midriff I thought I would let you know about the fab Slimming World group that runs in Liphook. We usually meet on TUESDAYS in the village hall, there are two groups one starting at 5.30pm and one starting at 7.30pm. THIS WEEK TO ACCOMODATE NEW YEAR FESTIVITIES THE GROUP WILL MEET ON THURSDAY 2ND JAN 2014 (5.30 & 7.30) We are a friendly group and Zoe who runs the group is really encouraging and totally realistic. Slimming World encourages you to set your own personal goals and does not impose 'targets'.You are in control of your weight loss journey. Women, men , older , younger ....... all receive a warm welcome from people who understand why you have chosen to join us. My own journey began on the 28th May 2013 and this Christmas I was buying a party dress 4 sizes smaller following 4st weight loss. There is no gimmick , no false promises, no miracle, just a truly simple to follow plan and the support of the group when I need it. When I go to class this week I fully expect to have plonked on a pound or two (or 3 or 4!!) over the festive season but I now know it will soon disappear - real eating for real life. What a lovely return to 'normality' after the season of over indulgence!! we welcomed a fabulous 12 new members and 5 returning members to class this week at the 'kick start' session of the year. We look forward to welcoming many more (but realise there are still a few orange creams lurking in the bottom of the tin which need to be polished off first!!) I thought I would share one of my super quick recipes which is totally FREE ( meaning eat as much as you want!!) Linguine with Chilli Tiger Prawns and Spinach ingredients: dried linguine spinach Tiger Prawns Sainsbury's garlic, pepper & chilli seasoning (with the dried herbs & spices) Fry Light(with the cooking oils @ sainsbo's) method: boil a pan of water an place linguine in it (takes approx. 12 mins to cook) whilst the linguine is cooking spray a frying pan liberally with 'Frylight' , heat the pan and drop in the prawns. Sprinkle liberally with the garlic,pepper,chilli seasoning as they cook. Add the spinach to the linguine for the last 1 minute of cooking . Drain the linguine & spinach, mix in the heated & seasoned prawns - tip onto a plate - serve with a pile of sliced tomatoes drenched in balsamic vinegar . Yum! (this recipe also works wonderfully with cubed lamb with all visible fat removed before cooking) TUESDAY EVENIINGS @ THE VILLAGE HALL classes 5.30 & 7.30 come and join us and see that losing weight does not mean going hungry or endless weighing and measuring!

Re: Slimming World - Liphook - Shell (13th Jan 2014 - 15:05:22) I have attended the 7.30pm Tuesday group that Zoe runs, since last July. I love going each week and to me it has become more of a social night than a drab boring attempt to lose any excess weight. With the help and support of Zoe and many other group members Slimming World becomes a way of life. Not a fad diet or other such thing! It has become second nature to follow the Slimming World plan. This group has also helped me to overcome some of my severe anxiety issues along the way as well. Definitely worth a visit on a Tuesday night if you want to lose a few (or a lot in my case!) of pounds. Simply turn up at 5.30pm or 7.30pm Tuesday nights at Liphook Village Hall, or call/text Zoe on 07899 911010

There's no other healthy eating plan that allows you to eat unlimited volumes of food, enjoy treats and allow you to stay in control in all situations even eating out and still lose weight! With the unique service provided by Slimming World and the group ideas and support, nowhere else can provide the motivation and inspiration required to lose weight and keep it off! So if you or someone you know are still thinking of joining us at Slimming World, this weeks Reveal magazine has a Free Membership voucher in it. The magazine costs £1, but the voucher will save you £10! Pay just £4.95 in your first week! Great turnout at groups again last night! It definately eases the pain of losing weight when doing so among friends, thats for sure :)

Re: Slimming World - Liphook - claire (5th Feb 2014 - 14:45:54) Cumulative weight loss this week for the Liphook group was a fantastic 87.5lb ! simply stunning (and slimmer of the week was a person who had joined after seeing the thread on Talkback!!) Summer is around the corner (if it ever stops raining!), treat yourself to a slimmer, healthier summer. Come and join us and be part of a friendly, supportive group Tuesday evenings.
