Woodburner installation - Lorraine (3rd Jan 2014 - 09:54:27) We're thinking of getting a woodburning stove in our conservatory. Can anyone recommend a local installer to give us advice and hopefully go ahead with this please?

Re: Woodburner installation - lee (3rd Jan 2014 - 13:32:21) hi, we just had inwood stoves put us in a log burner some 6-7 weeks ago. give rob a ring we are well happy with the service we got.and no power b4 xmas we had heat from the burner,so give them a ring. lee

Re: Woodburner installation - karen (4th Jan 2014 - 17:28:27) We are also thinking of installing a wood burner. Can anyone tell us if the wallpaper we have covering our chimney breast has to be removed before we can do this. Can you tell me if Goddards construction are HETAS registered. There was a link on this site sometime ago about wood burners but can't retrieve information now. Any advice or recommendations anyone can give us would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Woodburner installation - Janet (4th Jan 2014 - 19:27:44) We trawled around all the local suppliers/installers and settled in the end for Focus Stoves, who are at FourMarks. They were the most knowledgeable in our opinion. Also, they are the only local suppliers of Clearview wood-burners and our research had concluded that the Clearview Pioneer was the stove for us. They were not the cheapest option, but we felt it was worth what we paid.

We gather that Clearview are one of the best and thank you for your recommendation. They will also no doubt be able to advise me on my wallpaper/no wallpaper situation. The research we have done on this is inconclusive so far, some suppliers/users seem to say its ok, others are a complete no no!
