Laundry Work
Diane Allan believes in keeping busy - and at the age of 73 she still spends four mornings a week running the Liphook Age Concern laundry.
The laundry was set up in 1989 as a service to elderly people in the village and the surrounding area.
For the last two years, Mrs Allan has worked on her own – but it is very far from being a lonely job.
"One of the things I like about it is that you meet a lot of friends," she said.
"There is always someone dropping in."
Bags of washing are dropped in by elderly people themselves, or by Age Concern volunteers.
But Age Concern say they are concerned that there may be people who do not know about the service – and they are keen that more people use it regularly.
They were out and about in Liphook last Saturday morning, publicising the laundry and inviting people to contribute donations.
