 Village Cycleway
Liphook is still waiting for its safe cycle route due to long promised cycleway being held up.
Parish councillors were told this week that developers are finally being instructed to carry out work on the router, but are angry it has taken 5 years to get this far.
Funding for this part of the cycleway was a condition of the Sainsbury's planning permission back in late 1998, and has still not been completed.
The cycleway is planned to start at Manor Fields, go through Westbury and Barratt homes on the former OSU site, through Sainsburys owned land and out onto the old Midhurst Road.
From there it is proposed to go down Fletchers Field, across the field and over the Portsmouth Road, behind the Church centre into the Westbury housing site and then directly into the Bohunt School grounds.
