Motorbike service and MOT - Keith Cox (19th May 2015 - 11:56:44)
Does anyone have any details of a person in or around liphook who can come round and service and MOT my Vespa PX125, as I do not have the time to do it myself at the moment.

I take my piaggio X 8 400 ie Scooter for Mot at 2U Tyres in Petersfield. www.2utyres.co.uk
They are very good.
They only do motorbike MOT and tyres.
As well as cars.
I get my motorbike/scooter serviced at Petersfield Garage services www.petersfieldgarageservices.co.uk
They are good. Are quicker if you buy parts needed yourself. It's cheaper as well.
I tried a Liphook Motors garage in station road but the first time I went they did a basic service and charged me for a full service. They also did not put enough oil in my bike, as I cut out on a roundabout further up the road. They did fill up oil and gave me a refund after I complained to manager. The second time they tried to find a way to make sure my MOT failed.
I had a squeaking noise which turn out to be a bone shaped arm attached to a spring, rubbing on the frame of my bike as it had flipped over. This was found by Petersfield Garage services and fixed. Liphook Motors had no clue, they just wanted my MOT to fail. I have not been back since which is a shame as it's closer to home.

Try Haslemere Motorcycles in Whitehill. Probably closer than Petersfield.
They do MOTs and are specialists in motorcycles.
They MOT my Vespa and classic Triumph.

Hope all is well with your scooter.
I use Petersfield garages as it's easier to get home on train if required.
Plus I work in Petersfield.
I did buy my scooter from Haslemere motorcycles.
I find them difficult to get to and from with out my scooter. Was easier when they where in Haslemere instead of whitehill were they are now. Public Transport is a nightmare to whitehill.

As you no longer Mot motorbikes, I no longer need your garages services.
I am also pleased to hear that the poor service from a ex manager and ex bike mechanic are no longer available.
It's a shame there is nowhere for people to have Motorbike Mot's done properly in Liphook.
