 Blackout
Liphook was once again hit by a power cut. The lights went out just before 8pm (so everybody will have to wait for the Eastenders omnibus) and was finally restored almost exactly 5 hours later at 12:50.
This outage was quite a major one; according to the EDF emergency phone line (0845 770 8090) it included Haslemere, Wheatsheaf enclosure, Liphook, Bramshott and surrounding areas.
Surprisingly the Square was lit up, as was The Maltings area, I believe. Around midnight engineers made visits to the local sub-stations opening breakers to reduce the load, and were finally able to restore the power to us all just before 1am.
If anyone discovers the cause of the problem please let us know !
