Humana Clothes Bin - COOP Carpark.
- Dawn Hoskins (20th Sep 2016 - 16:04:35)

Hi all,

At the weekend I collected all the sopping wet items that had been dumped in the COOP carpark (with a couple of other volunteers). It was about 15 loads of laundry, which I have double washed to get rid of the mouldy smell and it is now hanging all over my house drying.

I will be taking most of it to the Refugee Collection Point - apart from local school uniforms which I have already taken to Cancer Research in the Village.

However, I have just driven past the COOP and there are at least 3 or 4 new plastic bags of clothes in from of the Humana Clothes Bin!!!

PLEASE.......if your items get wet, they go mouldy in a very short time. Then they become completely useless to anybody.

I don't know if the bin is full - or whether people just can't be bothered to open the hatch? Either way, if you could all help by telephong Humana to ask them to come and empty the bin, the number is 020 8733 2580 (stay on the line to speak to a human being).

I have called already, but - the more the merrier!

thanks

Well done for sorting out those clothes. I've googled that number you've listed and it looks like TRAID have that clothes donation bin listed, (See Here)

They also have an email address listed on their contact page as info@traid.org.uk

I'll send them a message too.

Regards,
Jay

If the bin is full there are alternatives in the Anchor car park, the Midhurst Road car park and at the fire station - these bins never seem to get as full as the coop and Sainsbury bins!!!
