Delta FM - not so local
The owners of Delta FM have applied to Ofcom to move the radio station from Bordon to a new studio complex in Andover, over 40 miles from Liphook.
Ofcom response - Ofcom Formal Change Request
"Ofcom felt the request was in line with criteria outlined within its Radio
Review, with particular regard to the size of the station cultural affinity of the areas involved, operational processes,
financial implications, the geographical position and the
consequent ‘fit’ of the co-location arrangement. The arrangement in no
way affects the programming output Format obligations.
It is, therefore, agreed.
March 30 2007."
Local residents are worried that this move will mean that program content will no longer be relevent to our area.

"I'm not sure I believe many of the travel bulletins even now, but will we be able to trust news about roads in the area after they have moved.. I doubt it."
RIP local radio in Liphook, Alton, Haslemere and Petersfield.
