1917 map of BRAMSHOTT CAMP and area
- Rev. Dr. Allan Miller (7th Feb 2017 - 16:48:28)
My great uncle passed through as a member of the 149CEF (LAMBTONS), quarantined and transferred to 25CEF reserve bn and finally 49CEF, KIA 29 Sept.1918.
I am writing a novel "The Wyoming Kid" as a way of doing a war history for this forgotten unit of the Cdn Army.
The map would be a terrific way of actually walking the reader through your town and area.
(As a side note the hospital noted 9 April 1917 that with the new intake of men from Canada, 33 had arrived with VD!)
Best regards,
Rev. Dr. Allan Miller, CD 613-968-9655

If you require further information relating to Canadians at Liphook, I suggest you contact The Liphook Heritage Centre on
equiries@liphookheritage.org.uk
They have a substantial collection and I am sure they will be able to help you.

Hi, if you would like to communicate directly with us at liphookheritage@btconnect.com or the address on our website (link at side of page) we can probably help you. There is at least one outline map of the area showing Military sites in Bordon, Longmoor and Liphook, and two sketched maps of Bramshott Camp WW1, HQ and 'Canadian Army Service Corps Lines' in our book entitled 'Liphook, Bramshott and The Canadians'. We also have a huge amount of information on the Canadian presence in Liphook in both WW1 and WW2. and we wonder if you are close enough to pay us a visit.
We look forward to hearing from you.

I'm in Canada and at the present time unable to view your collection there.
I am looking for electronic reproduction map of the area at the time Canadians passed through on way to France.
Thanks

Not sure there's a map but lots of other information on the Liphook Nostalgia Facebook page that may be of use to you.
