 Nearly New Sale
15th March - Kit out kids for a fraction of the cost.
Mums and Dads from all over the South West Surrey, North West Sussex and East Hampshire region, will be able to can kit out their children with virtually brand new clothes and equipment at a fraction of high street prices, thanks to the Haslemere and Midhurst branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).
The branch is running a ‘Nearly New Sale’ of clothes, accessories and toys for babies and children, as well as nursery and maternity equipment on Saturday 15th March at the Liphook Millennium Hall. Parents are welcome to come along as buyers or sellers, with just one condition - that the goods must be of \'nearly new\' quality.
Claire Kerr, the Sale Co-ordinator for the Haslemere and Midhurst branch of the NCT explains:
\"Parents always want the best for their children but many of them simply can\'t afford the latest \'must have\' item on the market as well as all the everyday clothes an active child can get through. The cost of kitting out a child for the first five years can run to thousands of pounds. But on the other hand, parents don\'t want to dress their children in hand-me-downs. Our Nearly New Sales are the perfect solution - high street quality at knock-down prices!\"
NCT Nearly New Sales give parents the chance to buy everyday necessities like vests, jeans and T-shirts for their children. They can also find items such as coats and clothing for special occasions, as well as toys and other accessories, all for a fraction of retail prices. The sales are intended to ease the strain on the childcare budget of the average family by offering parents a more economical alternative to buying new.
