Re-surfacing Work
Headley Road - starting on 16th March 2009. We have received the following letter from EHDC
Headley Road Liphook
During the week commencing 16 March 2009 Hampshire County Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works at the above location between Liphook Square and the A3 bridge. The works are expected to take ten days to complete during which time the road will be closed to through traffic between the hours of 09:00 and 16:30 Monday to Friday.
We will carry out the works in sections i.e. village centre to The Avenue and then The Avenue to the A3 bridge so that The Avenue and Tower Road can be used as diversion for local residents. These two roads will not be signed as a diversion route as I do not want to encourage large volumes of traffic using these minor roads. The official diversion route will be via the Longmoor Road, A3, A325 Petersfield Road to Whitehill, Liphook Road to Passfield and back onto the B3004. Access to the school during this time would best be made from Longmoor Road into The Avenue.
During this time every effort will be made by our Contractors to allow vehicular access to and from your property. However, there may be times when a delay is unavoidable and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance should any inconvenience be caused.
I would like to thank you for your cooperation in this matter and should you have any queries regarding these works please call our contact centre on 0845 603 5633.
Yours faithfully
M Pillans
Highway Engineer
