Silver Surfers
With recent surveys showing that senior surfers are now the fastest growing group on the Internet and that going online is the new number one hobby for British pensioners the time seems ripe for Help the Aged to launch its new website at helptheaged.org.uk.
One major new feature is the development of new technology to allow full representation of all four nations. Visitors to the site can now select which nation they are from to get news and information specific to their area where it exists or stick with a general UK version. This means that our website should be well able to cope with the increasingly devolved nations whilst ensuring that all our visitors get the same, first-rate service.
Help The Aged said: "The new website is just the first stage in developing a comprehensive new media and ICT strategy, which reflects both the growing importance of the Internet as a place where our audience gather their information and the need to bridge the digital divide."
