Liphook & Dist. Model Railway Club
The club's current club room is too small to erect and work on their N gauge & 00 gauge layouts, so last weekend (31st July 1st August) hired Rake Village Hall so that they could extend the baseboards of "Weyford on Sea" for some new scenic features and do some scenery changes on the Japanese N gauge layout "Yamanouchi Oshika".
Most members were able to juggle family and work commitments to take part and had an enjoyable time. It is likely to become a bi-annual event.
All this activity is a build up to the club's first Open Day for a number of years, this time on Sunday 24th October at Milland Memorial Hall.
The club is expected to exhibit the "new and improved" Weyford layout at the Midhurst Modellers Show in February 2011.
