traffic chaos - liphook this morning
- gareth j rees (1st Nov 2023 - 08:44:55)

i saw last night when we were trick or treating that a temporary traffic light was being put up in the square

is that causing this mornings long tailbacks?

worst i have ever seen

who is doing the work? water or gas?

Looks like the water board, have finally got round to seeing to the water leak in road outside chemist & leaking meter by Kingsbury office. Have been sprayed blue & leaking for probably 2 months at least. You would think it would be easier to repair in half term, but hopefully a day or two inconvenience.

Even worse thus evening
Over 30mins from A3 to first roundabout
Best avoided

Does anyone know when the work will be completed or who we can contact about it? The traffic lights aren’t synched properly to enable a reasonable flow of traffic both ways. It was gridlock at one point today in the square.

Wait until they do the leak in the middle of the Headley road near the social club. That will be fun.

Having travelled through the village twice today, the delays were exacerbated by lots of idiotic drivers who were pulling onto full roundabouts and blocking through traffic, causing further gridlock!

On a street guide website for roadworks there are 2 dots indicated for this area, both South East Water.

One had reference number EB00545411463, 30th Oct-1st Nov, the other Ref:EB00546282571 31st Oct-2nd Nov.

No traffic lights or signage at 5:30 tonight.

Traffic control had departed and South East Water's Report-a-Leak notification of 'Job 46282526 Completed' early yesterday morning.
I find South East Water's Report-a-Leak system well worth doing.
