Liphook/London trains 06th December
- Local Resident (5th Dec 2023 - 18:38:33)

hi folks

Is there a rail replacement service from liphook tmrw? (because of the strike)

The internet seems to tell me not, but I thought I would double check on here.

Cheers

No trains at all tomorrow as the train drivers are looking for a £75k salary per year and a final salary pension. I’m lead to believe if you like to lick the inside of a train (or bus) window you can pass the aptitude test easy enough.

The sooner we have driverless trains the better!!

my question still stands - is there a rail replacement service from the station tomorrow?

I'm expecting the answer 'no', but I just want to double check.

Rupert-if there was a spelling test to be a train driver you wouldn't pass it

Rupert if its that easy to become a Train driver they way isn't everyone on less than £75k applying for the jobs?

If your answer is; well all the train driver jobs are taken up, they why doesn't the train company employ new train drivers to replace the existing ones as a suitable rate of 12k a year based on your suggested aptitude test levels ?

Chaos on the train again this morning! Standing room only getting on at Liphook. Absolute disgrace how these half wits are trying to hold the country to ransom with their unrealistic expectations of pay for doing what a monkey could do and probably better. I’m sure the driver was asleep (or maybe drunk from being in the pub all day yesterday) when the train pulled in at the station!

Driverless trains can’t come soon enough!!

Rupert,

I think captive monkeys might just possibly have an alternative view.

Captive monkeys would be more reliable!

Train drivers on strike again trains not running. Reported that our drivers are the highest paid against other countries. The unions that keep on calling these strikes are living in the past complete dinosaurs all unions should be done away with we live in a different age. There are laws in place now that all employers have to abide by so unions are not needed. The train drivers are just greedy making very bad for everyone else. They should be totally ashamed of themselves.
