What is a troll - AF (21st Dec 2023 - 23:08:10) Can someone explain what a troll is. I ask this question as I seem to be accused of being a troll for holding a different opinion to some others. We all have out own opinions on a number of issues and if matters are raised on Talkback I may espouse my opinion. Just because others may disagree with that view does not make it wrong or any less valid than anyone else's. Also simply expressing a viewpoint does not ruin Talkback I fell it adds to it, if you disagree with an opinion simply ignore it or state why you dis-agree.

Re: What is a troll - Sam (22nd Dec 2023 - 17:43:49) I was one whom called you a Troll, look up definition of “internet troll” and whilst you don’t completely fit the definition there is plenty of evidence of your posts regarding the booking system being extraneous to the other posts, any mention of litter, recycling, dump or Bordon tip that has no mention of the booking system is immediately taken over by you on a rant about the booking system which you and “only” you does not like. I was motivated to call you a Troll (no personal offence intended) as there is approximately 6 or more posts on other subjects which you have taken over with your views. I have no issue with free speech here it’s just in all your posts about the Bordon booking system EVERY other person disagrees with you entirely, so really am motivating you to read the room and understand your repetitive view on the booking system is a view held purely and entirely just by you and garners zero support every time you bring it up. Surely it makes sense to just stop posting so much stuff about your views when it’s clear no one other person agrees with you and to be honest probably does not want to see it re posted over and over again. We get it, you don’t like the booking system, the rest of us like it so what’s the point in bringing it up over and over as your trolling everyone

Re: What is a troll - AF (22nd Dec 2023 - 23:22:04) Sam, I would like to correct you about me being the only one with a dislike of the current system. The facts for you are the council carried out a survey of 25,000 in 2022 and of those 78% supported a booking scheme of some sort(not necessarily the one they have now), that means 22% of people don't like the booking system. To save you the maths of those surveyed 5,500 don't support the system. I'm in the minority and have never denied that, but I'm hardly on my own.

The last thing to leave you with is effort v results. I believe that effort will result in results, however minor an input of effort will yield some small result. That is to say when we consider the opposite, of massive effort to guaranteed no result is something I won’t engage in. I appreciate that on some levels you might need to put in many years of effort to get a marginal result. You are putting in a lot of effort to remove the booking system at Bordon dump…. It’s never going to happen mate, your pissing in the wind, and if you haven’t the intellect to understand that that. Stop trolling other people’s posts with your loser requirements. Go find something you might actually get a result out of your efforts.

I agree with AF re the Bordon or any other East Hants recycling centre appointment system,often the staff are standing about & doing well nothing really. But its contracted out so what do we expect!...a lesser service for more money. Sam fyi;internet trolling: A definition. An internet troll, or online bully, deliberately tries to offend, cause trouble or directly attack people by posting ..Sam this defines your last post. there are plenty on here that fit that definition.
