- Maria (4th Apr 2024 - 14:41:16)
Does anyone please know why all the public bins and dog bins are overflowing at the moment?

Bin collection is the last of a long and extending list of services we're paying more for and should expect less in return for.
The only collection going is tax collection.
The revenue is wasted on the very new privileged (deceptively referred to as "under-privileged" / "vulnerable") and other Woke vanity causes.
Get used to it.

Suspect it’s to do with Easter and the bank holidays. However I agree it’s an issue and already starting to cause a real mess. Wish people would have the sense to take their rubbish home if a bin is overflowing!

The country is falling to bits, we are lucky to have what we have left so far.
Not helped by trying to run this Liphook de-facto town on a village budget....

Liphook has a mixture of Bins from different councils.
Some are supplied/emptied by Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council and some are by East Hampshire District Council.
I believe they will have a Logo on them if they the responsibility of BLPC.
Commenting on here WILL NOT GET THEM EMPTIED!
I suggest you actually report said bins to the relevant Council, or is that too difficult?

M the Parish council are only responsible for dog poo bins in the Parish not the big wheelie bins that is totally EHDC. They have their own large trade waste bins I believe at the Parish office and Millennium Hall but believe that they are emptied by a different company.

Joe........ mmm, isn't that exactly what I said?
Some bins are the responsibility of BLPC (have their logo on them) and some bins are the responsibility of EHDC, can't understand why you needed to reiterate that and make out I was incorrect?

M the trade waste bins are for their private use? not the public bins you may have confused people into thinking their domestic waste was emptied by the Parish Council. As you say complaining on here will not achieve anything complain to EHDC waste dept, or councillor Bill Mouland who is nominally in charge of this as a district councillor.

Well Joe you're confusing me now.
No one is talking about "Trade Bins" or even personal "Wheelie Bins".
The thread is about the Public Bins around the village overflowing and, as I said, some are the responsibility of the Parish Council and some are the responsibility of EHDC. To get them reported/emptied you need to know which one they are, the Parish Council Bins have the BLPC Logo on them.
