We will be commemorating D-Day 80 on 6th June 2024 on the Village Green (next to the Liphook Millennium Centre), starting at approximately 7.30pm.
More details nearer the time but the evening will include:

♦️ Refreshments
♦️ Reading of the Nation's Tribute
♦️ Lighting of a beacon at 9.15pm
We are interested to hear from anyone with local connections to D-Day, anyone with historic military vehicles, or anyone who would like to get involved.

Someone pointed out to me that D-Day was designed to fall on the 6th day of the 6th month at 6am - 666 as a satanic (anti-Christian) ritual.
Judging by the state of Europe today this does look rather ominous!

The operation was due to go on the 5th June, but was delayed by bad weather.
