LBI at Old Thorns
The Liphook Business Initiative held a very enjoyable and well-attended evening at the
newly opened conference suite at Old Thorns Manor on Thursday 12th May 2011. Robert
Nock from Pro-Potential said ‘Old Thorns changes every time you make a visit’ and the
newly formed conference facilities located above the new Sports Bar are undoubtedly
impressive. The members of the LBI were very pleased with the turnout with 30 people
attending representing 25 different businesses; also in attendance were representatives
from the management of Old Thorns including the CEO, Ashley Butterfield, and
representatives from the Steering Group of the Parish Plan including the chair person,
Robin Young. The evening enabled members to get to know each other with some active
networking followed by an opportunity to make an individual announcement to the group
introducing themselves and their business.
The committee members of the LBI are looking to see how the group can be developed
and to this effect a questionnaire has been forwarded to the members. It is hoped that
results from this survey will be available so that they can be announced at the next
planned event, which is to be a barbecue, taking place on 24th June; details will be
confirmed in the usual way in due course.
