We have just received our boiler cover renewal from British Gas. 40% increase! Any recommendations?

If you want to stay with them, it's definitely worth phoning them to say you are going elsewhere for boiler cover because of the astronomical price rise... I've done it with all my insurances this year, held my nerve, and got them for the same price as last year! They will want your business!

Or don’t sign up but instead save the same amount of money each month to cover the annual service and any repairs.

Just a thought we don’t bother with cover we just use local gas registered company to regular service our boiler saves a lot of money.
