Who should be next England football manager?
- paul (16th Jul 2024 - 17:45:43)

Hi,
Anyone from our region in the South? Maybe Eddie Howe from from former job at Bournemouth?
I don't blame Gareth Southgate, he had as usual with the national team a difficult job.
The players in the final of the Euro, should of scored more goals, with there so called "world class" talent. They under performed against a very good team.
I wish England team every success, but perform, not rest already inflated egos.

I doubt the FA are looking here for suggestions but if they are my Nan said she'd have a go!

Yes, good idea, maybe a woman could sort them out ?

That’s like an amazing role. Keeping a bunch of overly paid teenagers in line and trying to get them to keep it in their trousers and out of the press!

You’ll also be fired when they can’t win anything!

Let’s face it English football will never amount to very much.

My Nan is pretty fierce Dave...And shes not keen on money, teenagers or the modern world of not being able to tell people off when they don't do what she asks....

So with a decent game strategy I think she could get some results...

She likes bingo and tea so the after game parties could get quite wild.

surely:
Someone who scores victimhood woke tick boxes rather than goals.
Someone who thinks legs are for taking the knee rather than scoring goals.
Someone who brings in non-English players into England's team.

Overpaid teenagers? What do you expect them to do, say not thanks I just take 30k a year?

It’s supply and demand,TV deals, sponsorship, ticket prices etc pump so much money into it, if the players didn’t get paid these ridiculous sums then the money would fall into the pockets of the owners etc whom don’t even kick a ball.

It is what it is. A monster of an industry generating massive amounts of cash, if nobody was interested then no demand equals no massive salaries.
