Having used Liphook Tree Surgeons on many occasions, I have no hesitation in recommending them. As I learnt when interviewing James Green for the Liphook Community Magazine, tree surgery is not all about taking trees down.
It is also about carefully trimming trees, preserving their future growth.
If you prefer some fly-by- night with a chainsaw, then good luck to you.

Another vote for James and Liphook Tree Surgeons, the did a great job pruning several smaller trees in our garden.
Sole traders are not necessarily VAT free - if their turnover is over £90k they must charge VAT. This is not a high threshold for a successful one man band.
Do check they have proper insurance too.
