 Satellite broadband
Last week the Passfield exchange (and many surrounding areas) lost all its broadband connections for an hour or so.
As an internet company we are totally reliant on our connection, and have 4 ADSL lines from different providers; just in case.
But this BT failure took them all out!
So we have just had a Tooway Satellite based internet connection installed as a backup. This is giving download speeds of 6Mbps and works anywhere in the UK. Cost is actually comparable to phone based ADSL.
So, if you are in an area with very poor ADSL speeds you might want to talk to Bentley Walker - www.bentley-walker.com/tooway (tell them Dark Group recommended them!)
