Scam Texts - Paul Robinson (12th Sep 2024 10:55:40)
Barely a week goes by without me receiving scam texts or e-mails that are easily recognised and rapidly dismissed.
However one arrived first thing this morning that almost caught me out. It was a notification of a parking fine which had to be paid within two weeks or the full fine would be payable.
On closer study I noticed that my vehicle index number was not quoted and the location of the offence was not given. I am ashamed to say that I am no stranger to parking fines, but the ones that are genuine give the name of the issuing Council in all cases.
Beware.

I got this one also. No reg number or car park. I'm really wary of these emails. Hopefully your message will make people aware.
