Labour
- Pete (11th Oct 2024 13:03:39)
I have a great idea. I distinctly remember after the Brexit vote the country being told we must all get behind the decision to make it work and stop moaning as whats done is done (I seem to remember "you lost get over it" being bandied about a lot). Well my novel idea is maybe non Labour supporters should get behind the new government, instead of wallowing in defeat carping from the sidelines, just like we were told to get behind brexit and help get the country moving. If after say the first quarter of their tenure it turns out as bad as you are hoping then feel free to Rant and rave as much as you like.

Just a minute Pete the remain voters have been moaning and carping on from day one they never accepted the vote and still don’t as your post proves. So as this government is affecting us more and going to get worse from day one I think we can safely say we have a point to complain. As it’s totally obvious that most of the new laws are union based. This government is a bit different it’s taking from the better off and also from the not so well off and giving to the sector that doesn’t really need it . As said union based.

Just seen the Transport secretary Louise Haigh has given the train guards a £300 bonus back dated to August to work five days a week yes five days that’s on top of the massive pay rise they have just had . What the heck is going on the unions will bankrupt us on their own.

The result of the referendum does not state that those whom voted for remain are to shut up about it forever, it does not remove the freedom of speech. Much like those whom are unhappy with Labour have not gone silent since the election.
With hindsight it was clearly the wrong decision and I wish I could go back and change my vote as nothing that was promised has occurred, not one single factual benefit yet we can see official trusted organisations like the office for budget responsibility and many others stating we are many billions behind where we would have been had we stayed, so far behind in fact that loss easily covers the bill. The NHS got naff all out of Brexit, nor even a penny of that 350m, foreign staff up 'ed and left. Local staff aren't interested. Lost our free trade with one of the biggest economies in the world, received one crap trade deal that wipes out our farmers. Fishing industry ruined. UK expats in EU sent home. No say at the table about anything at all now. Northern Ireland ruined, no operational government since.
Brexit was a mistake, it cant be fixed as the EU didn't want us to begin with in the 70's. now we are out they wont want us back in, it represented the last nail in the coffin to our great country.
No other country has exited, if it was that amazing a move there would be a queue

- Voted leave (16th Oct 2024 14:40:19)
Would certainly vote leave again if they stupidly held another vote . So much better out not being ruled by Brussels.
