Sadly, such things are difficult to repair. Most items have a notice on the case saying 'NO SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE'. Manufacturers don't sell spare parts or issue repair manuals.
If you can find an amateur / retired electronics engineer who will look at your TV, it just MIGHT have a simple fault which they could fix. But don't hold your breath!
Those in UK who are professionally equipped and competent to examine / repair electronic equipment expect to be paid many times more than the East Asian workers who assemble them.
It therefore becomes more cost-effective to buy a new TV than repair an old one. Not surprisingly, this is exactly what the manufacturers want and expect.
The number of electronic items that fail just outside the warranty period is testament to the skill of those who contrive such planned obsolescence.
Their profits come first - our pockets, and the environment, sadly, can go hang.
