Police patrolling our streets in plain dark clothing
- paul (7th Nov 2024 - 13:13:12)

Hi,

Observed last night, an unmarked plain car parked at Sainsburys carpark. There was a young male, and female, in dark clothing (not wearing Police uniform).
They were proceeding at pace, to the Heron Way, Ottawa Drive, and Maple Walk housing areas. They looked like they were starting a patrol.

Is this a local police strategy to fight crime? including domestic burglary?

Maybe this a discreet way, rather than "Bobbies on the Beat" approach, that are clearly visible to local residents.

Paul

"an unmarked plain car parked at Sainsburys carpark. There was a young male, and female, in dark clothing (not wearing Police uniform)" HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS?

"Is this a local police strategy to fight crime? including domestic burglary?" HAVE YOU ENQUIRED WITH THE POLICE?

Paul, I suspect you have an odd agenda here and are using Talkback to get some odd thrill

Hi,

Don't understand your post Dave B?
I have no odd agenda?
It was an observation locally, as an experienced adult in the area, and for a long time (66 years0

I sighted something unusual locally.

This post is to help people, living here in Liphook. Therefore possible exposure to crime on their lives.

My goodness Paul, you're giving all Paul's a bad name with this rubbish!

So basically 2 people (not police) were seen getting out of their car at Sainsburys?!

LOL! I wonder what could possibly be going on there?!

Thanks for the laugh today though :)

Maybe Paul did not mention the blue lights behind the grille, that piece of information would put a different light on his post. Every police car I've seen in Liphook in recent years has been unmarked.
