Jewelry repair - Caroline (14th Dec 2024 - 10:46:41) Hi, can anyone recommend a good jewelry repairer local to the area? One of the stones has fallen out of my engagement ring so I’d like to get it fixed. Thanks.

Re: Jewelry repair - C (14th Dec 2024 - 13:49:50) We used Picketts & Pursers in Petersfield when my elderly mother lost a sapphire from her engagement ring. They provided and fitted a matching stone, as well as securing the remaining stones and cleaning the ring. Very happy with their work, I think it was about £100, including the new sapphire, a few years ago.

Re: Jewelry repair - M (15th Dec 2024 - 07:41:20) Not the best solution in Petersfield ,i have been quoted there for a ring to be made smaller and i thought it was very expensive for the work,ie to remove some of the gold, and no you aren't given the gold they remove either. I was also given a long time frame for the job because they send pieces away the work isn't done on site. Best to shop around, that store will have huge overheads hence their prices.

Re: Jewelry repair - Charlie (16th Dec 2024 - 11:16:05) The best Jeweller I know, a true craftsman, is David at Jewel in The Crown at Haslemere. So Google him as he is not open every day and ring first. He has done some really first-class work for me.
