Closures on A3 - Ham Barn Roundabout - Anne (29th Jan 2025 - 07:56:50) Warning to all who use the A3 regularly, big disruptions coming: "Works are due to take place at the Ham Barn roundabout at West Liss in phases between Monday, February 10 and Saturday, March 15 with the work will primarily be carried out on weekday nights from 9pm and 6am between the Longmoor Interchange and Liss Interchange over the five-week period. Re: Closures on A3 - Ham Barn Roundabout - Liphookean (29th Jan 2025 - 09:16:56) To be clear, the diversion is through The Square in Liphook and down the old A3 which means, on the two weekend closures in particular, it will likely be gridlock in The Square for most of the day.

Re: Closures on A3 - Ham Barn Roundabout - M (29th Jan 2025 - 17:12:52) Actually it might be a good idea to have some parked cars and blockages to keep the through traffic slow and get it to use a better route (A31-A325 as is the usual A3 diversion route).

Re: Closures on A3 - Ham Barn Roundabout - Local (29th Jan 2025 - 23:02:10) Paul you don’t seem to realise the traffic coming into liphook on the side roads through the square has increased by an enormous amount compared to when the A3 came through. I would suggest that the amount coming through liphook from the Side roads is much more than the A3 traffic was . So that’s why we desperately need to get that traffic away from from the SQUARE..

Re: Closures on A3 - Ham Barn Roundabout - Editor (30th Jan 2025 - 07:15:47) Hi Joe I've included the Saturday and Sunday of the closures. Traffic from 9pm on the Friday and until 6am on the Monday is unlikely to cause any serious problem, in my opinion.

I think need traffic light system at crossing has stop kids crossing at different times more traffic will flow better only busy at school times the cost of extra bye pass be millions to put in unless you wish to pay for it guess not Just need to leave earlier if you need to get out All need driver get off phone when driving also indicators use .

The side roads were more or less traffic free not like today all the roads leading into the square are again more or less continuous all day especially weekends all this talk about only busy at school time is rubbish. Go and help LIB at weekends it will open your eyes in the square continuous traffic all day.Anyway they won’t spend any money in liphook because they don’t know where we are . Remember at a council planning meeting at penns place over heard a councillor say don’t know anything about liphook never been there so it doesn’t bother me what happens says it all.

Re: Closures on A3 - Ham Barn Roundabout - Gr (21st Feb 2025 - 13:03:38) I could be wrong but article saying down too 2 days closed not 4 So closure still going ahead. Maybe somebody could check article as my brain is a bit fuddled The closure will still start from 9pm (Friday 21 February), but the carriageway will now reopen at 6am on Saturday 22 February.
