Increase in shoplifting - Was Undecided Now Decided (6th Feb 2025 - 09:55:51) There are a number of news stories today in the media highlighting the significant growth in shoplifting locally. Here is a recent story that is not behind a paywall: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14328905/middle-aged-women-shoplifters-surrey-haslemere-farnham.html Haslemere is experiencing high levels of shoplifting, robbery and theft. In all cases - as reported by the media - the lack of visible policing is likely fueling crime in our area. Shop owners also report poor police response times and engagement with shoplifting as a crime. Organised crime gangs are in full action. The number of shoplifting offenses has risen to an all-time high in the last year. No doubt the same is happening closer to home. Remember this, when (a) your council tax increases with a further increase for the police who spend more time policing hurty words online, and (b) you are being denied a voice in local elections to raise any concerns about crime and policing as policies.

Re: Increase in shoplifting - Sam (8th Feb 2025 - 14:05:24) Everything is falling apart since Brexit and we are all hopping around blaming which ever party is in control, it can’t be fixed, downhill slope now forever since we told our neighbours and trading partners to do one… On our own now, we ain’t that important anymore, and now we are permanently skint.

Re: Increase in shoplifting - Grape (8th Feb 2025 - 14:18:05) It's happening all over the land. A county police budget paid for DEI commissars could pay for 40 bobbies on the street. Common sense winds are blowing in from across the Atlantic, will they reach over to us?

Too much socialism in schools, children have largely been brought up in an anti Western anti capitalist environment for far too long. When a society stops believing in itself is when it dies. We will soon be replaced by something much worse, more intolerant, more fanatical about it's religion 😥 1984 was a warning not an instruction manual....
