FOOD WASTE - IA (23rd Feb 2025 - 16:17:09) A third of all food produced globally goes to waste and the UK alone produces approximately 9.52 million tonnes of food waste every year. While these statistics are horrifying and aren’t talked about enough, it’s easy to do your part in reducing food waste. Please do what you can - meal prep, buy less food, make soup from meat scraps and almost gone-off veg. Spread awareness and discuss what can be done. Every action makes a difference.

Re: FOOD WASTE - Russ (23rd Feb 2025 - 18:59:10) Totally agree when you see the food left on plates in restaurants and pubs especially carvery’s people pile their plates high and leave half of it . Perhaps there should be a charge for food left on plates, when we were young you had to clean your plates or it came out next day. In school you could not leave the table until every plate was cleaned on your table so you helped everyone out to clear the plates so you could go out to play . yes I know it’s sounds awful but it taught you not to waste food.

Re: FOOD WASTE - Russ (24th Feb 2025 - 10:59:51) We are old school Terry you remember school dinners . Mum prepared meals you weren’t asking what you wanted you had to eat what was put in front of you so that gave you a wide range of taste not like today’s kids.
