Buying On Hunters Chase
- Richard Elder (28th Feb 2025 - 08:39:52)
For ages now I’ve always wanted to buy on Hunters Chase. Never been able to afford it, but now my circumstances have changed!
There have been a couple of houses that have come on the market that interested me and my wife! Very excited we drove through the estate to take a look, what was once a lovely estate has been ruined by the minority.
Dustbins left outside, full of rubbish, front gardens over grown, one large house has what looks like a children’s play area in the front!
It seems bigger the house, bigger the mess, it’s a shame because the majority of the larger houses are very well maintained, one was for sale, it put me off!
My advice to these people is step back and take a look, your letting the estate down, l just wanted to buy, but not now!

I'm not going to comment on a particular road or development, but you are correct in the wider sense that Liphook is changing and not for the better.
I can't say any more on a public forum.

I agree.
It always used to be a beautifully kept estate,
But now it’s look rather tired and scruffy, it’s such a shame.

Such a shame as lovely close, but there is always the exception. Some people don’t see their own mess, or should I say don’t want to !
Good luck in your house search.

Would be interested to know whether those properties that appear not to be up to the OP's required standard are owner occupiers or those that are renting?

Suggest you go up the estate behind Sainsbury's, just the same.

I’m a resident on Hunters Chase and l have to say l agree 100%!
There are a few houses as you drive down through the estate that have ruined it for the residents who look after their property!
Why can’t people put their dustbins away, they are not good to look at!
As for the front gardens it only takes five minutes to tidy them up and cut the grass!
I just take it that the people who don’t bother are either to busy or bone idle and also don’t care.
