Rising too high
It's back to the drawing board for the developers who want to build 30 houses, some three-storeys high, at Lowsley Farm, Lark Rise, Liphook.
East Hampshire District Council's South Planning Committee deferred a decision on Thursday, in order to get a "Better Design" - the present one is "Overpowering"
It was, said Judy Onslow: "About time this committee had competent designs coming to it."
Agreeing Andrew Pattie said that they are being held in complete contempt by plans like this. Do the developers think about the people who are going to live in these houses?
Amanda Sutton, for the developers, said they had listened to residents and had "made a significant reducation in the height of the buildings".
There is already permission for 20 houses to be built on the site.
