Liphook projects fund
Community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations in Liphook can apply for a slice of a special £30,000 community support fund, thanks to South East Water.
Local organisations are being asked to visit the Company’s website at www.southeastwater.co.uk/... and fill in the application form to be considered for funding of anything from just a few pounds up to a maximum of £2,500 for their good causes.
The deadline for applications is midnight on the 31st December 2012 after which the Community Chest Panel will decide where to donate the money. Applications are open to group projects that are water related or environmental, helping the young, old or disadvantaged – more details on the entry criteria can be found on the website form.
Successful organisations will be informed about their funding from 25th January 2013 with the presentations of the funds taking place soon afterwards.
Christine King, Corporate Communications Manager, South East Water said: “Our work brings us into daily contact with lots of local communities to which we already supply good quality drinking water around the clock.
“But we are also keen to play our part in the wider health of those local communities, and so have set up the new Community Chest fund to directly help projects that need a little extra financial help to make a difference.”
