Thief Foiled
Police are looking for a would-be thief who attempted to steal money from the till of an off licence on Saturday night last week.
A man walked into the General Wine Shop in Liphook at around 7.30pm and asked for change. As the till was opened he tried to grab money from it but the quick thinking shop assistant slammed it down on his fingers and he made off empty handed.
The white man is described as aged between 25 and 30, around 5ft 9ins tall with short blond hair and a slim build. He was wearing a dark denim jacket, a dirty t-shirt and dark jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 0845 045 45 45.
