Documentary about Liphook
- Darren Martin (26th Apr 2012 - 09:41:26)
Hi there,
I'm a student at UCA in Farnham in my final year of Film Production. I've set myself the task of making a documentary on the village of Liphook as i've lived here my whole life.
This is just a request/ invitation for anyone who has anything to say about Liphook to take part in an interview that will make up part of my film.
It can even just be one word if you want! But generally questions about what you like about it, don't like (if any!) and if you have any funny stories about Liphook then I want to hear them!
If you contact me, I can come to wherever you are and we can do the interview wherever suits you best as you'll be doing me a huge favour!
Thank you for reading,
Darren Martin

Hi,
If you interested Liphook Methodist Church is celebrating its 80th Anniversay this year might be worth contacting Rev Coleman to see if he would like to help you if you are interested in including that.

Why don't you approach Mr Cook in the shoe repairers on London Road just off The Square. I think he has been in Liphook for 50 years so he has loads of anecdotes!

You should make contact with Ian Baker at the Bramshott & Liphook Preservation Society at the Heritage Centre for, as well as a fount of useful knowledge about Liphook and Bramshott past, he is also aware of current and future developments insofar as they affect the buildings, roads and the infrastructure of the area.
I feel sure that the BLPS would be happy to assist you in your project.
Best wishes
Paul Robinson

There must be quite a few people who remember plenty of things about the past in Liphook.
The Candy Box (loved that shop). The old roundabout at the rec in the 60,s.Used to play on that while my Dad played cricket. I have a little recollection of the girls school , which is now the library. (Oh those horrible knickers we had to wear for PE.) Dad belonged the Buffs, they used to organise Christmas parties for the kids. There must be lots of people with these memories.
