After School Club calls the Emergency Services!
KOOSA Kids have been generating lots of excitement this term as the KOOSA Kids After School Club
at Liphook Infants School received a visit from the Hampshire Fire Bridgade.
The officers did a fabulous job in explaining their roles and demonstrating the use of various pieces of equipment. The children were totally engaged in the hour long visit, and particularly enjoyed the role play in their rather over-sized helmets and uniforms and excitement reached its peak when the children were given the chance to sit in the fire engine and to play with an irresistible array of switches and flashing lights.
Lee Partner, Director commented, ‘We really appreciate the local fire and police crews taking the
time to visit our after school club children again. We first launched the Emergency Services Visit Programme two years ago across all KOOSA Kids After School Clubs, with the aim of providing a fun and informative introduction to the role of the emergency services in the local community. The first
round of visits were so well-received by children, parents and staff that we decided to run them
again this term.’
